MSc Computer Science, focusing on autonomous systems and vehicles.

Master’s studies

My master’s at ETH Zürich focuses on autonomous vehicles: systems that need to perceive their surroundings, make decisions under uncertainty, and act safely in a changing environment. What interests me most is the combination of machine learning, robotics, and control required to make that possible. An autonomous vehicle cannot rely on perception or planning alone; each component has to work as part of a dependable system.

My current courses reflect those three sides of autonomy:

  • Computer Vision, focused on how machines extract useful information from visual data
  • Planning and Decision Making for Autonomous Robots, covering how autonomous systems choose actions and navigate towards their goals
  • Reliable and Trustworthy Artificial Intelligence, examining how intelligent systems can be made more robust, transparent, and dependable

Together, these courses let me study the full path from sensing an environment to deciding how to move through it, while keeping reliability in view. This gives my degree a clear direction towards the software and learning systems behind autonomous vehicles.
